Chikankari is a very delicate and intricate shadow work of threads woven together in beautiful patterns. The process starts with block printing a pattern on the fabric. The Karigars then take on the task of delicate handwork to stitch the pattern using various forms of stitches like Bakhiya(shadow work), Tipkhi, Jali and so on. The Fabric is then washed to clean out the color of the print. What ma
