A warm Thank You to our Veterans who are currently serving, have served, and to those who have laid down their lives for our freedom.

David sang a song of praise thanking our heavenly Father for delivering him from the hands of his enemies through battle. We pray that this same song rings true for all of our Veterans in their continued service.

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation.
He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior—
from violent people you save me.

We find dozens of references in both the Old and New Testament about fearing God. This has led me into one of my famous deep thinking tasks that consumes me for days. If you don’t know about these bouts that I get myself into, just ask my wife and she’ll be glad to tell you all about them.

This morning we're reflecting on the 7 "I Am" statements that Jesus shares with us throughout the Gospel. As we reflect on His identity, we share part of Paul's prayer found in Philippians 3:10 which reads,

"I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,"
