After an injury that resulted in chemical sensitivity I found myself needing to replace most of the furniture in my home due to fire retardant sprayed beds & sofas to formaldehyde dipped furniture and clothing. Thus began the creative journey of replacing my furniture and re-purposing anything vintage while educating my friends about our toxic consumerism which naturally propelled me into a ne
w passionate venture. Throughout my life I have always loved vintage items and the way they brought back childhood memories of antiquing and decorating with my designer mother. Drawing from my history in building businesses in the fashion & accounting industries as a model, makeup artist entrepreneur, fashion store launches to merchandising and accountant, I found a way to bring myself up out of a disabling injury. My mission with Vintage Rescues is to rescue unique, solid, good quality furniture and clothing from going to landfills and offer them to chemically sensitive people in need health wise, as well as the general well community to create an artistic ambiance with individual character in a home while promoting nontoxic living. I love helping that consumer design a toxic free furnished home to updating your wardrobe with artful vintage style to styling services for a photo shoot or finding that special piece you need and together preserving the art of these unique pieces for years to come!
