FRIDAY MOTIVATION

Fifty years ago, this story ran in The Fresno Bee.

Our CEO's dad, Papa to our family, was a 31-year-old podiatrist who ran six miles a day in a $20 pair of sneakers. He called running “a labor of love.”

When the reporter asked why he did it, he shared the words our family still lives by:

“Don’t add years to your life. Add life to your years.”

He wasn’t building a brand or chasing a headline. He was simply living what he believed, one run, one mile, one day at a time, decades before any of us knew what Bold&Zeal would become.

This year marks ten years since we lost him. Yet his words and the life he lived remain at the heart of everything we make.

Throwback Thursday:

Our co-founder Rafi wasn’t invited to this sweet 16. He still ended up running the dance floor. 🕺

He crashed the party, found an opening on the floor, and by the time Stayin’ Alive hit the speakers he had a crew of high school boys studying his moves like it was a masterclass they’d signed up for.

Nobody taught them the choreography. Rafi started dancing like he owned the room, and the whole floor followed his lead.

He’s also the guy who designed our flagship boxy tee, the one people have to be bribed into taking off for laundry day.
