ELEGANT XPRESSIONS BOUTIQUE ANNOUNCES โEVERYTHING MUST GOโ SALE BEFORE CHANGE TO ONLINE RETAIL BUSINESS

SIOUX FALLS SD, February 2025 - Elegant Xpressions Boutique, the areaโs one-stop shop for prom, bridal and pageant dresses, and accessories, is changing its business model from a retail shop and transitioning to an online retail business on March 2.
The announcement was made during the formal wear prime season as proms and pageants and the spring wedding season begins. โThereโs never a good time for our business to pivot with a major change in operations, said Shauna Niedan, co-owner and co-founder of Elegant Xpressions. โBut due to unforeseen circumstances with the passing of my father and/co-owner, and personal health situations needing immediate attention, I have made the difficult decision to pivot to an online store. I believe this decision is made in the best interest of my clients, my family and my health.โ
In preparation for the move, Elegant Xpressions has announced an โEverything Must Goโ sale, with heavily discounted prices on everything in the store - from dresses to shoes and accessories - and even down to the beautiful chandeliers and custom-built shelves and cabinetry. The sale prices are effective immediately and will continue until the doors close on March 2 or until all of the inventory is gone - whichever comes first. A portion of all proceeds from the sale will be donated to Sanford Childrenโs Miracle Network - a charity that Elegant Xpressions has consistently donated to for 25 years.
โThe Sanford Childrenโs Miracle Network (SCMN) is so special to our family,โ said Niedan. โMy children were SCMN babies, and we know all too well how much families depend on this wonderful hospital. Being able to give back to this organization has been a constant highlight for us and I am so proud that even with this final sale, we will continue to support Sanford Childrenโs Miracle Network.โ
Elegant Xpressions Boutique has been the premier formal dress shop in the area for 25 years. Originally founded by Niedan and her parents Gordon and Judy Niedan, the family trio introduced big-city boutique shopping with heart to the Sioux Falls community.
They introduced the concept of โone-stop-shopโ in womenโs fashion, providing one place to get everything to complete the look from the dress, to the shoes and jewelry. The boutique was also fashion-forward, introducing new, bold styles that replaced the timeless lace and puffy sleeve dresses.
The business also initiated the concept of โOne Dress to One Event,โ a policy that always put the customer first.
โItโs incredible to look back through the years and think about all of the women weโve been able to serve,โ commented Niedan. Regardless if it was a pageant queen shopping for the stage-stealing dress at a national competition, or a bus load of girls shopping for the perfect prom dress, the boutique found a way to make sure their customers felt special and found the perfect dress.
In addition, Niedan had a way of giving clients a unique and personalized experience for the red carpet and important events happening in their lives. Mothers of the Bride and women attending high-ticket fundraising events, gallas, military balls and inaugurations have relied on Elegant Xpressions to deliver the perfect look.โI think what Iโll miss the most about the retail store is wondering who will come in the door and who I get to serve next. But, the good news is Iโll still be around to serve my clients, which is what Iโm most grateful for.โ
Moving forward, Elegant Xpressions will operate as a personal concierge online boutique. Customers can expect the top-tier service they have enjoyed for over two decades, but with a more personalized and individual shopping experience. โFinding the right dress to meet the moment, and making the experience special for each customer has been the highlight of this business, and will continue to be our inspiration as we pivot to this new online model,โ Niedan said.
Even though the retail store will no longer be available, Niedan said she has taken the necessary steps to update clientele on how they can continue to utilize her services within the new online model.
As a multi-entrepreneur, Niedan will also continue to operate her other businesses, which reach clientele from local schools to health and wellness companies across the globe.
