I live in Door County.
Now let’s go see what I’ve been missing.
I’ve spent the last (many) years happily pouring myself into Spot (x2), Space, Sip and Spot Home — my sweet little babies.
Meanwhile, people come from all over to eat, hike, shop, and explore this incredible place I call home.
I think it’s time I joined them.
A little less autopilot. A little more adventure.
Balance.

So let’s do this together — let’s do Door County!
My mission is simple:
Get out more.
Hike all the trails.
Eat at the restaurants I keep saying I want to try.
Check out all the shops.
Go back to the places I already love.
Eat all the food.
Basically, I want to be a tourist in my own backyard.
And because the amazing Spot crew is always up for a questionable idea, they were immediately in.

So...
Spot Out the Door was born.
We’re going exploring.
Sometimes it’ll be me. Sometimes we’ll head out together. And the crew will take you along on their own adventures.
Different people. Different adventures. Same story: get out the door.
We’ll hit old favorites, and we’ll try all the new places.
We’ll take pictures. We’ll share what we find. We’ll tell you what we ate, what we bought, what made us laugh and what surprised us.

This isn’t going to be a “Top 10 Things You MUST Do in Door County” list.
We’re not becoming restaurant critics.
There will be no stars.
There will absolutely be cocktails.
And there will be lots of bloopers.
We’re simply going to get out the door, explore this incredible place we get to call home, meet some interesting humans and see where they send us next.
And we’re making one rule:
The experience comes first. The content comes second.
Because the whole reason I want to do this is to work a little less, live a little more, and remember why I fell in love with this place in the first place.
So here we go.
