Blue Burro A fun & unique global market place! Unique, colorful, handmade items from south of the border! I also love to talk travel....come in to browse and say hi!

Come shop our goods from Mexico, Haiti, Guatemala, Columbia, Thailand, Philipines, Africa and beyond! I travel 1-2 per year to handpick every item and too source new as well! My favorite is shopping in the open, outdoor markets in the maze of all the vendors, crafts and hustle and bustle! I step off the bus empty handed and leave the market loaded down like a burro "-) I love supporting the small vendor/business owners in the markets face to face. I also support small brick and mortar shops, plus a few women's cooperatives, which are all doing wonderful things for the communities their based in and around. I am a small business owner and I know first hand the support that is needed to thrive!

This week we’re highlighting Women of the Cloud Forest! We love their hand-painted balsa wood bird ornaments (how fun on a Christmas tree! 🎄) and felted bird coin purses.

Their work supports women in Nicaragua and Nepal through safe jobs, interest-free microloans, home improvements, and more. 🫶

Three weeks until our Guatemala tour, and I’ve got happy tears this morning. 🥹🇬🇹❤️

I feel so incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to share a place I love with people who trust me, believe in me, and are open to experiencing a country that isn’t for everyone.

Guatemala is colorful, vibrant, incredibly beautiful, deeply creative, welcoming, and full of so much life. It’s not overly polished or packaged—and that’s part of what I love about it.

And, as always, it’s the people. They shine. 🩵

I’m deeply grateful for everyone coming with me, and for the incredibly talented and passionate guides and tour company I get to work with. They help me put all the pieces together and make the whole thing happen so smoothly. I truly couldn’t do it without them. How did I get so lucky?!?

Cotopaxi is a brand I’ve loved for a long time—colorful, practical, and with a really great mission!

They’re committed to ethical production, sustainability, and giving back to communities around the world 🌎
