Here are the last two club projects we completed. So many difficulties in getting these completed has helped make this summer far less enjoyable than we expected it to be.
We haven't posted here in weeks because we have been plagued by a failure of a critical machine. Of course, it's the biggest, most expensive and arguably, the most important thing in the shop. For inexplicable reasons, the manufacturer has told us that the replacement parts are not available and wouldn't be for 10 or more weeks. Hard to imagine that a company would build machines and not build the necessary parts to keep them running, but here we are. The cost of these critical parts you ask? Excellent question. Less than $25.... Unbelievable. We have no idea when/if they will arrive and we remain sidelined until we can find a solution.
As a result of this, for the first time in our 35 year history, we missed two deadlines for awards presentations. We apologize to these winners for this delay, but it was completely out of our hands, and the important thing is that they are finished now.
At any rate, we will continue to seek alternative solutions to this and try to keep pressing forward.
