When A Touch of Magic asks us for a bulk order of her potion bottle holsters, it was time to invest in a new machine. We made the trip out to in Harrisburg to pick up this strap cutter (as well as too many other things, because we can't walk out of Tandy with only one thing.) This should help us a lot with productivity, including all of our belts, bells, skirt hikes, and mug frogs. And save Susan's wrist from hand-cutting all of it!

One last round of drinking horns is getting packed up for tomorrow's market, then I think we're as good as we're gonna get. It will be an indoor event, but not air conditioned, so luckily the weather is projecting cooler. Come see us from 2pm-7pm at Heavy Seas!

Since our lovely customers at Oakenmist decided to buy 25 belts last weekend, we had to add stock of a few additional for Heavy Seas on Saturday. We also had to make more drinking horns (currently curing), and fan holsters. Nothing like working under pressure! Don't forget that the market at Heavy Seas is free! It runs 2pm-7pm, with live music from 3pm-5pm. Come see us and some of your other favorite artists!

There's a lot of behind the scenes work that doesn't photograph well, and today was one of those days -- we cleaned the workshop, vacuumed, organized our piles, worked on making a new mantle rack for indoor spaces, and went to the grocery store. Our goal for this week is pretty ambitious to be ready for Oakenmist. I have ring belts to finish, skirt hikes and mug frogs that still need rivets, skull necklaces that need chains, earcuffs that are bare of bones, and my wife has a whole table of mantles to assemble, as well as a few last fan holsters to put together. And in between all of that, we have to feed ourselves, take care of our dogs, tend the garden, and most importantly remember to breathe. Finding the balance isn't always easy, but when it works, it is beautiful.

Just a reminder to everyone that this week is the LAST week to buy any of our fur products on Etsy. After that, they will only be available through our website at rabidllamacreations.com, or in person. I'm looking into a few other websites as well, but that's all going to be something I really delve into after Oakenmist, as we are neck-deep in prep for that currently. As of Sunday morning, I am taking down all of our fur listings on Etsy, as the official ban starts on Tuesday, 8/11.
