I am in the process of achieving great changes. The first intention is to be able to sew on a regular basis. This goal requires big changes in my life and I am gaining ground inch by inch. For my friends and family that have been waiting patiently for quilts.... soon! Soon I will be ready to pour my heart into completing those creations!

If I didn't have to work for a living I could make more quilts! Life isn't always exactly what I think I want... but it's always beautiful and I am always grateful.

Been working in Sylva, NC for 9 months, now it's lay off time so I may be headed up towards Boone, NC to work some more. It's so hard to keep the quilting going with all this moving and unrest, But I know God has a plan and if I just go on and do what I gotta do, He will make all this work for His good. I sure miss being away from my family. But can you imagine, every time I have to move again for work, my son, daughter-in-law and all "6 now" grand kids come from where ever they are to help me load the uhaul trucks and move to the next destination. How blessed can one Grandma be :)

A new Baby Girl Quilt. Finally back on the quilting train! After all the moving around I've finally gotten the sewing machines back in gear. Thank God for my son, he rebuilt the quilting table I dismantled when I moved at the end of November. I've had to move 2 more times since then but now I've got a big sewing room again and I'm all set up to get back to my passion :)

Still no power pole, rain won't let up long enough for the big trucks to get in. I'm getting down about all this... but hopefully the kids and I will get into a 4 bedroom home by the end of the week and it won't matter how long it takes them, well that's not true, matters lol but it won't be so very pressing :)

Well we finally passed our temporary power pole inspection!!! The electric man was out yesterday checking to see what problems they may have getting down to the pole location. Thank goodness I just had a load of gravel delivered yesterday early in the day so he knew I was working to make the drive, which is a muddy and side winding ride with all the rain we have been getting, better for his huge truck to get in with my new pole. I won't get it installed until the end of next week, rain permitting, BUT, we have our go ahead and that was the biggest battle. The 3rd inspection finally got us passed :) Soon I will be sewing again and have I got a back log of quilts to get going on!!! I didn't know how long this process was and that's probably a really good thing or I may have been scared off, but this way I'm getting through day by day, cold butt night by cold butt night lol. My son called this morning and just got a great deal on a wood stove like they use and I'm getting it!!! Theirs works so much better than mine, I'm stoked!!! Like a good fire haha So - to my friends who have been so patient while I settle my land like a pioneer, very soon I will be working on your quilts and getting them to you!!!
