We just saw one of our regular customers today by appointment and had a marvelous afternoon. I've just gotten in a shipment of kimono that leans heavily towards tomesode, the black formal women kimono, as well as several nice kimono and haori for men.

As we do not have any events until the first week of November and our rental house next door is currently unoccupied, I have set up a showroom. If anyone local to the Atlanta area or is coming to town for Anime Weekend Atlanta would like to come and see our collection of kimonos that are for sale please feel free to contact me to make an appointment.

The weekend of December 18th and 19th is Momocon's Winterfest. We're stuck way back in the back row but we are going to be there. Kip and I are fully vaccinated and both of us have had our boosters. On top of that our son is now fully vaccinated as well. Hope to see everyone who can make it come on out!

Dragoncon is over for the year. As usual, I am both happy and sad. Saw so many old friends as well as new ones. Worked my behind off until my feet are almost unrecognizable but it was a great show!

I did get some bad news tonight though. I kept telling folks to come look for us at Japanfest in a couple of weeks. Sadly, Japanfest has been postponed due to covid. I do not know when the new dates will be.

For those of you who put in orders that I need to ship out? Your things will get to you a bit faster. I do have costumes to sew for this coming weekend at a LARP I have a commitment to. However, your wait time will be less.

Sooo... in preparation for Dragon Con and keeping in mind that we were vaccinated very early on because Kip's parents are almost in their 90's so we qualified as caregivers, I got my covid-19 booster shot today. Kip's mom gets hers tomorrow. Kip and his dad get theirs on Friday. What this breaks down to is that when we have Dragon Con next week we will not only be fully vaccinated but will have had our boosters and time to recover. We also have new masks with replicable filters for each day of the convention. Yes we will be at Dragon Con this year. However, with the people in our lives that we have to look after we are doing this in as safe a manner as possible.... for ourselves and for our customers.
