This is such a great local
Organization and definitely something that needs to be shared! You’re not helping a nonprofit charity if they are being utilized like the local dump.

What’s wrong with this picture?

A dedicated volunteer opens a bag of donations… and inside is a coat that is literally disintegrating. Not “well-loved.” Not “gently used.” Just worn out, dirty, and falling apart.

It happens more often than you’d think.

We know most people give with good intentions, and we’re grateful for every single person who supports our mission. But the truth is, donations like this don’t help, they hurt. They cost us time, resources, and disposal fees. Time that should be spent sheltering families, feeding neighbors, and offering hope.

If it’s not something you would give to a friend, please don’t give it to us.

Our clients deserve dignity. Our volunteers deserve better. And our mission depends on quality donations that can truly make a difference.

So next time you’re cleaning out a closet, pause for just a second. Choose your best. Give with purpose. Give with care.
