Celebrating National Latina Day
Meet Fernanda Amieva Pérez, entrepreneur and owner of FE Motors and Artesanías Mi México Lindo. Through her businesses, Fernanda serves the South Bend community while also supporting Mexican artisans by bringing their handmade work and cultural traditions to our area.
"I am most proud of building my businesses through hard work and perseverance, while staying connected to my Mexican roots. I am especially proud that my work allows me to support artisans in Mexico, share our culture, and show other women that it is never too late to start something new and believe in yourself."
Fernanda is passionate about creating opportunities, supporting her community, and sharing the beauty of Mexican culture through her work. She believes business can be a way to connect people, preserve traditions, and help others grow.
Her message to Latinas: "Don't be afraid to start, even if you don't have everything figured out. Learn as you go, work hard, believe in yourself, and never forget where you come from. We are capable of much more than we sometimes realize."
And what this day means to her: "National Latina Day is a celebration of our strength, our roots, our culture, and the contributions Latina women make every day. It is also an opportunity to recognize one another, support one another, and be proud of where we come from."
Fernanda joins us for a powerful and joy-filled evening as we celebrate the incredible Latina women who are making a difference in our community.
