These girls stopped by and picked out two of our favorite hats — “Blondes Have More Fun” and “Brunettes Have More Fun” — and obviously they had to wear them together. 😂🤎

Cute girls, cowboy boots, denim & a little attitude… basically the perfect combo.

I think sometimes people see the fair and think rides, food, animals and a fun week in August.

But if you really stop and look around… it is so much more than that.

It’s a kid standing beside an animal they’ve spent months caring for.

It’s someone learning how to sew, design clothing, build something with their own two hands, bake, grow, create, compete and keep trying when something doesn’t turn out exactly right.

It’s early mornings, dirty boots, nervous smiles, proud parents, friendships, responsibility and memories they’ll still be talking about years from now.

These kids aren’t just showing us what they made.

They’re showing us what they’re becoming.

And I think that might be my favorite part of the fair. ❤️

The ribbons will eventually get tucked away.
The projects will come home.
The animals will leave the barns.

But the confidence, work ethic, lessons and memories these kids take with them,Those stay.

This is why places like the Berrien County Youth Fair matter.

Not because of what happens here for one week…

but because of what this week helps build for a lifetime. Berrien County Youth Fair
