Well… my space is going away. Our wonderful store, New 2 You Consignment in South Hill, is closing its’ doors. I may eventually look for another place, but for now Ugly Owl Vintage will operate on Facebook. I can meet in South Hill, Boydton, or Farmville if you see anything you like! For now, everything left in my booth at New 2 You is 50% off!

In the meantime, today’s project - removing the 100 year old oxidized finish from this Craftsman beauty - probably my all-time favorite ReStore find! I noticed this morning that my dog had chewed a tiny corner. (She’s free to a good home. 😡) I’d been thinking about working on it, so now’s the time. This piece isn’t going anywhere but back to my living room!

Ok…so…I thought for a minute that I had bitten off more than I chew with this one. BUT - all the old veneer is finally gone and it’s looking pretty good! The patina on the legs is way too pretty to paint over. We’ll see how it looks after some sanding and go from there!
