Looking back at my Road to 2026... what an incredible journey it has been.
Over the past two years, football became more than a game; it became a way to connect people through art, culture, and community.
Some of the milestones along the way:
• Monday Night Futbol (1950–2022 World Cups) with trivia, films, and cultural conversations.
• The Beautiful Game exhibition and artist open call at HCC.
• MFAH Hands & Feet Workshops with Asians Against Domestic Abuse and Madres del Parque.
• The East End Gateway Mural, created at Magpies & Peacocks and now welcoming the world on Harrisburg Blvd.
• Managing Houston's Seven Cultural District World Cup Murals.
• The POST Houston X Atrium installation and One Game. Many Cultures exhibition at L'Alliance Française de Houston.
• Launching The Foosball Collection, the Houston 2026 Collection, and other World Cup-inspired merchandise.
• A 365 World Cup Balls workshop at River Oaks Baptist School.
• Being named Latino Man of the Year by the Galveston Mardi Gras Committee and later honored as a Heart of the Cup Honoree by the Houston 2026 World Cup.
None of this would have been possible without the incredible organizations, collaborators, collectors, volunteers, students, and friends who believed in this vision.
The World Cup may be over, but its cultural legacy and the friendships created along the way, will continue to inspire everything that comes next.
Beyond 2026, the journey continues, and I invite anyone interested in collaborating, collecting, or creating to be part of what comes next.
Thank you, Houston. ❤️⚽🌎
