.Foundation.
I only have emotional memories left in place of our old spot. It provided a place for me to find my footing, learn how to be a business person, somewhere to raise my kid, lots of relationship beginnings, some endings. I learned about the power of community.

This space is an extension of me. Where I learned to trust myself, my vision, my universe. I found my vocabulary as an artist. I found my purpose.

The way we had to say Goodbye was so abrupt and harsh, I don’t think Ill ever get to give you a proper one. Thank you for your strength, even your leaky ceiling could provide. I’ll never forget your charm, and through watching all of this become dust, I learned I can’t create the same vibe you had in our new place. I’m letting go of the expectation. I’ll reflect on the confidence that I did gain from you and how to create a new lifeline and culture into our future. So long friend.

Thank you to my friends Mike and Tela for grabbing this brick for me, perfectly preserved with .queen mural, the piece I mourn the most.

I remember reading The Hobbit for a school reading program cause it was worth the most points, lol, and basically just wanted the pizza from whatever place was giving a coupon for a free slice- for the same amount of points I would accumulate. It ended up being one of my fave books as a kid, the pizza wasn’t bad either. 😅

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever found?! I like to keep the weirdos, and currently I would like to think that the weirdest thing I’ve ever found, and kept, is the remains of a man and his dog. (His death day was Valentine’s Day! 🥹)

I often get emotional about objects, but these types of things make me emotional when families don’t want to keep them. So I care for them in my lifetime, which I hope is something some would do for me when I’m not here. 👻
