Our products are more than souvenirs.
They are pieces of Peru’s soul, handcrafted by artisans who pour generations of knowledge, culture, and passion into every creation. 🇵🇪✨

Behind every handmade piece is a story: a family tradition passed from grandparents to children, hands that learned ancient techniques, communities that continue preserving their identity through art and craftsmanship.

From the highlands of the Andes to the northern coastal towns and the heart of the Peruvian Amazon, every product reflects the richness, diversity, and beauty of Peru’s cultural heritage.

Our jewelry is not simply jewelry.
Our textiles are not simply fabric.
Our traditional dresses are not simply fashion.

They are symbols of history, resilience, artistry, and pride.

Every embroidery, every woven thread, every filigree detail carries the spirit of the artisan who created it. In a world of mass production, these pieces remind us of the beauty of handmade work — where patience, dedication, and human connection still matter.

When you support Peru Gift Shop, you are not only purchasing a product.
You are supporting artisans, preserving cultural traditions, empowering families, and helping keep Peru’s artistic legacy alive for future generations.

Because culture is not meant to be forgotten.
It is meant to be worn, shared, celebrated, and carried with us wherever we go.

Our products are more than gifts.
They are memories.
They are heritage.
They are Peru. ❤️🇵🇪

🇵🇪✨ The Anaco de Colán — A Living Legacy of Northern Peru ✨🇵🇪

The Anaco is more than a traditional dress…
it is history, identity, and cultural memory woven into every movement. ❤️

Originating from northern Peru, especially the region of Piura and the Caleta de Colán, the Anaco traces its roots back to pre-Hispanic traditions and later evolved through the blending of Indigenous and Spanish influences — becoming a powerful symbol of mestizaje and regional identity.

Historically, the Anaco incorporated colonial garments such as camisones, enaguas, and culecos, while preserving the strength of Indigenous textile traditions and craftsmanship passed down through generations.

One of its most meaningful elements is the faja or chumpi — a woven sash used not only for elegance, but also for movement, work, and daily life.

The embroidery, colors, and ornamentation traditionally reflected identity, femininity, artistry, and social status within the community. Classic tones such as red, black, yellow, green, and blue continue to live on today through folkloric dress and Marinera traditions.

Every detail tells a story:
✨ The movement of the skirt
✨ The handcrafted embroidery
✨ The elegance of tradition
✨ The pride of northern Peru

The Marinera is not simply dance…
it is history in motion.

Through our Heritage Collection and Cultural Heritage Initiative, we continue preserving and sharing the stories behind Peru’s traditional dresses so future generations can continue wearing, honoring, and understanding their roots. 🇵🇪❤️

Because preserving traditional dress is preserving culture itself.

This Friday, we’re bringing a little piece of Peru back to Inca Social for Alpaca Happy Hour… 🇵🇪🦙✨

Because Peru is not only something you visit.
It’s something you feel.

Through the music, the food, the laughter, the colors, the cocktails, and even the alpacas, we create moments that remind us of home, culture, and connection.

And of course, our Traveling Llama will be there too — ready for selfies, adventures, and making memories with everyone all night long. 📸🦙

There’s something special about seeing people from different backgrounds come together to celebrate Peruvian culture in such a fun and unforgettable way. For many Peruvians living far from home, moments like these become more than events… they become memories that reconnect us to our roots.

Real alpacas.
Peruvian food.
Cocktails.
Music.
Patio vibes.
And the beautiful energy of our community celebrating Peru together. ❤️

The Shipibo-Konibo dress is more than traditional clothing…
it is a living expression of Amazonian identity, spirituality, and ancestral knowledge. 🌿✨

Recognized for its intricate geometric patterns known as Kené, every design represents connection, energy, healing, and the relationship between the physical and spiritual worlds. These patterns are deeply connected to the sacred Icaro chants and healing visions of Amazonian traditions.

Traditional Shipibo-Konibo attire often includes:
✨ The koton — a colorful embroidered blouse
✨ The chitonti — a wraparound skirt with symbolic Kené patterns
✨ Handmade beadwork and layered adornments that reflect artisan craftsmanship and cultural pride

Historically, these garments were created using natural pigments from plants and bark found in the Peruvian Amazon. Today, they continue to preserve generations of Indigenous artistry and storytelling.

Through our Heritage Collection, we honor and celebrate the beauty, symbolism, and cultural richness of the Shipibo-Konibo community of Peru. ❤️🇵🇪

Because culture is not only seen…
it is felt, preserved, and carried forward through every handmade detail.
