Celebrating the beauty of the Andes in Washington, D.C. 🇵🇪✨

On September 12, Peru Gift Shop will be part of Celebration of Textiles: Andean Traditions at The George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum. The festival runs from 10 AM to 4 PM and brings together Andean textiles, cultural crafts, dance, embassy displays, and more.

For us, this event is especially meaningful because it gives us another opportunity to share Peru through its handmade products, artisan craftsmanship, cultural stories, and traditions.

You’ll find Peru Gift Shop in the outdoor breezeway, where we’ll be sharing a special selection of pieces that represent the creativity, identity, and heritage of Peru.

And at 12 PM, Peru Gift Shop will also take part in a special Peruvian fashion presentation in the Myers Room, celebrating garments and cultural expression connected to our heritage.

Come spend the day discovering the Andes, learning about its traditions, and celebrating the people who keep this cultural heritage alive.

On Sunday, September 27, our Peruvian community is coming together at Northwest Stadium for the Washington Commanders Hispanic Heritage Game against the Seattle Seahawks.

And this is about so much more than football.

It’s about seeing our flag in the stadium.
It’s about celebrating our culture, our heritage, our families, and the pride we feel in being Peruvian.
It’s about bringing Peru to one of the biggest stages in American sports and experiencing that moment together. 🇵🇪

This August 29 & 30, our DMV community comes together to celebrate one of Peru’s most beautiful traditions: Marinera Norteña. 💃🏻🕺🏻

We’re especially proud to see Tyler F. Brooks, Junior Champion of Marinera en el Mundo New York 2024, joining this celebration alongside champions, dancers, teachers, families, and everyone who loves our culture.

For us, Marinera is so much more than a dance. It is a way of keeping our roots alive, connecting new generations with Peru, and showing that our traditions can travel across borders and continue growing. 🇵🇪🌎

Something beautiful is coming… and it has been years in the making. 👀🇵🇪✨

During my recent trip to Peru, I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Agustina showroom and spend time talking, creating, and dreaming about what comes next.

But this isn’t a new relationship.

Agustina has been part of the Peru Gift Shop journey since our beginnings, and that’s what makes this next chapter so special. ❤️
