It’s Small Business Saturday so I thought I’d talk about my experience working for Craig - who started this business 36 years ago. My name is Gabe, I’m going into my 14th holiday season working here. Throughout my time here Craig has always embodied what it means to be a small business owner. He’s always been approachable, rational, and compassionate. He’s made numerous meaningful connections and relationships in our communities over the years, and most importantly he’s been able to open multiple stores giving me and my coworkers opportunities to grow and learn. He’s been humble enough to make changes when things aren’t working, and bold enough to take risks that could improve the stores. Currently, we have 3 locations for the The Comic Book Shop - in the valley, lower division, and Northtown Mall. And we have candy and plush stores in NorthTown Mall - Candyworks and Doki Doki Plush. Craig has made it possible to bring Spokane the coolest collectible merch, product that brings us escapism and joy, and comfort items when we need a little retail therapy. I just wanted to give a shout-out to Craig and his stores, and I hope you’ll consider us this holiday season.

I will now wait to endure his wrath when he finds out I posted this.
