SPRING LAKE- Laker Athletic Director Tom Hickman could not have given Rosemary Bench a more durable gift than the "My son wears No. 32 - Spring Lake Football" button he presented her in 1977.

Mrs. Bench will wear that button again Friday night when she watches Rodney, the youngest of her five sons, take the field against Orchard View in a Seaway Conference football match-up.

Rodney, a senior running back, is the fourth and final - for a while, anyways - Bench brother to wear No. 32 for the Spring Lake gridders.
