Katrina made these for a client. She asked me to quilt these for her. The client is from Canada and wanted a theme that reflected that landscape. Katrina did a great job piecing these with that theme. I used two pantographs from Intelligent Quilting. I have recently started using this vendor and have been pleased with the outcome.

Charity quilts provide me a wonderful opportunity to try out new pantographs. This one is Tide 1 Pearls by Wasatch Quilting. It came with my monthly membership in the Masters club. What I liked about it was it was not a “thread hog” and didn’t back track and stitch over the same area multiple times. The quilt is a sweet Rail Fence on Point made for Quilts Across America - QAA and will go to a child through Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

It’s not too early to get your Christmas projects longarmed. Susan created another special quilt that she will gift to her daughter. I love the vintage fabric she chose for the tree. The pantograph is Christmas Lights by Wasatch Quilting.

I had the honor of teaching a Barn Quilt painting class to 18 members of the Coastal Prairie Quilt Guild in Missouri City, TX. Each participant did an amazing job and the group was so helpful and gracious. Look at all their fantastic Barn Quilts!

This is what commitment looks like, minus a few who are absent from our group picture. Our textile ministry at the Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church made all of these quilts for Quilts Across America - QAA that were delivered to the Woodlands area Sleep in Heavenly Peace chapter. The wife of the president came to pick these up thinking it was 4 quilts. She was blown away when we gave her over 40. Even more special was she teared up and asked “Is that a sunflower quilt?” They had a request last week for one and the mom told the little girl that might not happen. Her wish will now come true. 💜 🧵

It was a perfect day, piecing perfect units, with a perfect group, making a perfect quilt to celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation. The name of the pattern is Thankful Stars by Debbie Kalenty from Quilters Obsession. This pattern uses the Split Rects and V-Block tools from Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design. Each participant, including the shop owner of the Sewing & Vacuum Warehouse, grew in their skills and had a wonderful time with family and friends, Did you notice the lefty? Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design has left handed instructions included with her tools.

Look what they made! These 3 ladies did a spectacular job on their Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design Cyclone blocks. We had a terrific day of learning and talking as they created these flashy blocks. My friend, and amazing quilter Lerna, allowed me to quilt three of her stunning quilts. She is a perfectionist with her piecing I have not witnessed before. She loved the Spiro Flower Pantograph by Wasatch Quilting and chose it for two of her quilts. She has a strong passion for Kaffe and Sue Penn fabric with bright color pallets. Look at the backing she chose for these as well.
