Before we closed the store, we told you to follow us on Facebook. So I need to fill you in on what has happened. On the last day to be open at 49th and Main was March 7. We had already started packing as much as we could of some inventory. That’s still left a lot of work in three weeks so that we could have the place broom clean. We walked out of there 10 minutes after five on March 31. Before we left, we had been actively looking at a building that has been empty for 4 to 5 years. It took some time to locate the person who owns it. It took going to City Hall in Springfield to find out their zoning laws would not allow us to use that building for our business. After that, we had to get some legal advice on restructuring some of the things that would affect how we ran our business for you. That is behind us now, but we are set to move forward. Now we are actively looking for the right building. We are not going to settle for just anything where we can be forced to close again because the building is not compatible for our use. Thank you for your patience. It will all be worth the wait! We don’t know why the original business did not go into our old building, but let me encourage you to look at this as an opportunity to have a business in your neighborhood that can benefit so many. I am happy for my landlords that the building is getting the improvements that it desperately needed. They deserve the improved value of their building, so I hope everyone will embrace it as a good thing. As for us we truly needed more space so I am looking for God‘s direction and finding the right space. We will keep you informed when we have more to share.
