Howdy! I hope everybody is enjoying their Summer! I'm getting packed up and ready to start another fabulous year at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival this weekend! I have a couple of new styles of hats to offer as well as the styles you have come to know and love. I can't wait to see how you all look in them! My boys and I busted a move to make loads of little pretties- flower clippies, hat bands, butterfly clippies, hat pins, bat bows and so much more- for KCRF this year. I will have a huge selection of nifty little pretties for you to adorn your new hats, your old hats and your hair! I have pocket watches and new this year, I have compasses to go in your hat bands! I got a little experimental and made a few pairs of bracers, so let me know if you like them and want more. I have new pouch styles and I have to say that I think they turned out quite cute. This season, I am introducing Viking themed items, and have loads of Norse designs on old favorites- flasks, pouches, cutting boards, etc- and on new items that I made, so be sure to come in and check them out!
I want to give a hearty and grateful welcome to my dear friends Miki and Brian who have graciously offered to help me out with my booth. My eldest son will also be working KCRF this year, so we should have a full, though rotating, crew to be available to assist and answer questions! Huzzah!

I hope everybody has had fabulous holidays full of love and joy!
I just wanted to drop a short note to everyone waiting on custom orders to let them know that a large batch will be going out this week, with more to follow next week. I got horribly behind with a family tragedy immediately followed by a flu that I just can't seem to shake. It's going on 7 weeks now and hits in waves. Time has completely gotten away from me, so I thought I'd better let everybody know that their orders are not forgotten.

Howdy! I haven't posted in a while- I've been super crazy busy learning new techniques on new equipment and stocking for OKRF which opens in a little over 2 weeks! There have been a lot of changes at House of Genevieve over the Winter after we lost my Mom last Fall. New routines, shuffling tasks, new assistant, lots of training and supervising, long hours. My eldest son, Jordie, has come to work for me- which I love ❤️! So we get to hang out together more!
We are focusing on quality over quantity this Faire Season, as Jordie learns the ropes and finds his groove. We will have a few new hat styles and some new little accessories and a fabulous new look to some of the staples, but I have been focused on working the new equipment and skills into the regular routine.
I've moved House of Genevieve into a bigger booth at OKRF, so we now have space for many customers to shop at the same time! We will be able to accomodate strollers AND customers at the same time! Woo hoo! We scooted over to the old weaver's booth on the South side of the Italian Piazza, so we haven't moved very far.
I hope to have pictures soon, but right now I have 50+ hats in the same stage of "getting dressed"- I'm putting all the hat bands together this week, and then on to feathers. Oi! Busy busy busy! I can't wait to see everybody and show you what we've been learning!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
House of Genevieve has purchased Shoppe 409 at Kansas City Renaissance Festival! I am located on the Queen's Commons, next to the big zipline platform. I am so excited to have a huge new showroom, and am working like crazy to fill it!
I can't wait to see you guys and welcome you into my new shoppe!

Massive feather dyeing event this week! Hundreds of feathers will go from the off-white prep to the 43 colors I use in all my hats and cockades!

Oklahoma Renaissance Festival opens this coming weekend!!! YAY!!!! We will be there with lots of new items, bunches of accessories, a couple of new hat styles, and pure joy at being out and about again!
I can't wait to see everybody!

I wanted to let you all know that since Norman Medieval Fair (this weekend) and Oklahoma Renaissance Fair were cancelled, I have been hard at work designing a website with all my wares available for click and ship purchasing. Keep watching this page, as I am trying to get it online asap!

Hi, everybody. I'm hoping you all are healthy and cozy and have enough toilet paper!

As many of you probably already know, Norman Medieval Fair has been cancelled, so if you had arranged to pick up custom items from me there, please contact me to make other arrangements. For those of you that were planning on attending Norman, please check their website, as they are arranging an online "Virtual Fair", that will post the websites and Face Book pages of the various vendors that had booths so that patrons will be able to see the wares that would have been offered at this year's Medieval Fair. My banner with a link to this page will also be present in that Virtual Fair, and I will be posting pics of select items that I would like to highlight here on my page in a special folder on my Photos page during that weekend. These will be items that are completed and ready for shipment that weekend only. If they don't sell that weekend, they will be brought to OKRF and offered for sale there. So keep an eye on this page and the Norman Medieval Fair page:

And please check out the sites and pages of the other vendors whose booths you may have perused that weekend!

As of right now, the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival at the Castle at Muskogee is still scheduled to open April 25th, and I will be there with loads of new items for your selection!
