It has been a minute since we have posted on here but we are hoping to become more active and thought an introduction post would be a great way to jump back into it! So hello and welcome to our page 🚪🌸 🧡

We are a twin sister duo, Kayla and Whitney located in Michigan. Two Doors Down Vintage was named by Kayla after the Dolly Parton song of the same name and well…there’s two of us so it seemed like the perfect retro thing to call this venture of ours.

Kayla and I both have had a love and passion for thrifting and treasure hunting from a young age. (Shout out to our Aunt LuAnne for igniting that flame for us!) In the past couple of years we have become avid vintage hunters and collectors. Personally we collect vintage Pyrex, vinyl records, cassette tapes and Merry Mushroom among several other odds and ends.

Our goal with Two Doors Down Vintage is to source unique vintage items and share them all with you and others to hopefully help normalize second hand things and reduce overconsumption. We want to share our love and eye for vintage ranging from the late 1960s all the way to the early 2000s (crazy to think but yes anything over 20 years old is considered vintage!) Not only do we plan to share things for sale someday on our Two Doors Down Vintage social media pages but we also share how we style and use our own vintage treasures!

VINTAGE 101 LESSON!

Let’s talk about Merry Mushroom!
Between 1970 and 1987, retail giant Sears developed over 250 products for their Merry Mushroom line of kitchen products making it one of Sears most profitable lines ever. While Sears dominated the market, other manufacturers like Fenton, Arnels, Treasure Craft, Lefton and many others introduced products in hopes of getting those “mushie”dollars!
