Although I haven’t posted much lately I have been working on a few projects.

I completed two cushion sets after returning from vacation. Prior to that I did finish my sofa and a chair and ottoman for Alyssa.

I have a client who likes to push me beyond my comfort zone and I am in the middle of slipcovers for a sectional 😳. I have 470 inches of zippers and this morning made roughly half of the cording I will need, 1,600 inches. Sewing the cording alone took a solid 2.5hrs at my machine. My goal was to complete this project before my dad’s pacemaker appt in less then two weeks but we will see.

I might need a chiropractor after all the sewing. Wish me luck😉

These chairs were a challenge. The frames were purchased, sent to me and I did the rest.

With every project there are new challenges and opportunities to learn and these were definitely one of the biggest for me. Leaving the wood exposed is something I hadn’t done and took extra thought and work.

I’m pleased and excited about the finished product.

It has been a little while but there is so much to do so today it was time to get going. I’m starting with a bare frame and excited to see where they will go. The backs will be “naked” so all wood will be visible. This will be my first chairs done in that fashion. My client is still deciding on a finish.
