Beginner sewing lessons - how to insert a zipper. We started off learning the basic foundation on how to sew and insert the zipper using practice fabric. Then we used a skirt that the student brought and she fixed it herself!

Today I had the pleasure of teaching a wonderful young lady who’s getting ready to move to LA to chase her dream of becoming a wardrobe stylist. ✨
She wanted to add a few more skills to her toolkit, so we started with the essentials: how to thread the machine, control sewing speed, handle fabric with confidence, pivot, backstitch, and understand seam allowance — all the foundational skills needed to start making clothes. 🧵
She’ll be back weekly to soak up as much knowledge as she can before she shoots for the stars. I love helping people build skills that support their dreams!
