My new favorite neutral is Dark Sage Green - darker and cooler than the usual Olive. I found these Deep Sage jeans at my favorite resale shop, and paired them first with s pale sage cami from Quince. First view is topped with an aqua cardi (Cabi) and the second, with a string sweater from Northstyle. I wanted a matching shoe, and finally found the Sadey sandal from Italian Shoemaker.
Third view is brown jeans with an even paler sage microfiber tank (Chicos) and the same string cardi. I'm more of a cold--weather fashionista, so playing around with my warm weather clothes helps get my creativity in gear.

Busy creating jean looks for this transitional weather. Then navy dot scarf inspired the combo with a pink shell - topped with a soft blazer for dressier situations and a wide-striped cascade cardi for more casual settings.

Swapped in a pale sage gren tank and denim-look sweater jacket, visually connected with an oversized scard printed to look like a green/blue brocade.

So much easier to get excited about warmer weather wear when I plan combos ahead of time ...

Stripes are a big Spring trend, and they are a great base for pattern mixing. Mini stripes with a paisley print scarf. Mini stripes with a color coordinated floral. Bolder stripes with a color-blocked cascade cardigan sweater. And a square pendant to echo the angularity of all those stripes. Casual looks with polish!

Accessories can define a garment's seasonality as well as its formality. When the weather turns chilly again, the Little BASIC dress just keeps going -- winterized with a pashmina in shades of blue and fuscia to keep my neck and shoulders cozy, plus black tights and booties for both warmth and elongation.

Even a conservative Little BASIC Dress can go a little wild when paired with a leopard skin print pump and coordinating infinity scarf. It's challenging to find skin prints like these, that are not too golden for my cooler coloring. The crochet string wristlet and gold/silver mix jewelry maintain that warm/cool balance and the animal motif glasses are the finishing touch

Now the Little BLUE Dress goes oceanside, accessorized with a straw tote, shell necklace, mother-or-pearl bracelet and a coordinating blue-tone bandana. A wide-brim straw hat protects my nose from sunburn and the matte goldtone wedge sandals provide elongation for my short stature.
