SURPRISE! Lilies. I used to torment my maternal grandmother by calling them Naked Ladies. She preferred not to think of her flowers as naked ladies. Some of my bulbs are descended from bulbs in her garden. She’s been gone over 30 years but her lilies live on.

This beautifully made vase was part of the “Nordlys” (Northern Light) series produced by Soholm Stenej pottery in Bornholm, Denmark. They were famous for their blue glazes and this one is especially nice. It is available in our Etsy shop. Link in bio.
