Thankfully her grandpa and grandma own an optical lab and she can get as many pair as she wants!

Dad, you were there for my first breath and I was there for your last breath, it’s been 19 years since that last breath. You were my dad , my boss, my best friend, the person i turned to forever advice and so much more. You were the best dad a girl could ask for and I was lucky you were mine. Somedays it seems like yesterday and other days it seems like forever, either way one thing stays the same I miss and love you just as much today as the day you left us.

People say time heals all wounds,those people must never have lost a loved one.

This year hits a little different it’s the first year without mom to help us get by. As sad as I am, i am also happy to know that the love of your life is now with you again forever. Please take good care her. I miss you both so very much .

To all of our family and friends asking about a service for my mom I promise we are not avoiding you it’s just been a bit difficult with some of the planning. We are hoping for a memorial on the 23rd but once that is finalized I promise to let everyone know. Your continued thoughts, prayers, cards, messages and flowers are so much appreciated during this difficult time and I’ve seen and read all of your messages I just have not had a chance to respond personally to each one.

My mom helped start Gateway. My dad was the face of Gateway but my mom was the backbone. She worked hard at work and even harder at home raising 3 daughters. She allowed my dad to fulfill his dream and she took no credit. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

This is a post I knew would be coming but one I never wanted to post. After a wonderful Christmas morning spent with her family my mom decided it was time to go be with my dad and all her loved ones in heaven. She passed away yesterday afternoon after everyone but myself left. I had prayed for a long time that when the time came it would be quick, pain free and peaceful and it was all of those. It had been a rough few months for her but I believe she hung on to spend one final Christmas with her family.
For all of you who have followed our journey the last few years please know you thoughts,prayers, messages and check ins on us meant more then you know.
If you were blessed to know our mom you know exactly what a wonderful person she was. She will be missed by so many but none more than by her family.

I now know the feelings my dad felt when I would bring Kelsey over to work. He would stop whatever he was doing and focus it all on her, she had the run of the place. Kenna B. came to visit me today and I had the same feelings, I stopped and focused all on her. Gateway Optical Service started out as a family business and we always made family a priority and as long as we own Gateway we will have a family first mentality. I only wish my dad could have been here to meet his first great-granddaughter he woul have been over the moon. Miss you every day dad. 🧡
