🚨 Before You Click “Buy” on Facebook… Read This

A quick consumer-safety reminder:

Be careful when purchasing apps, tools, or products through links you see on Facebook or other social media platforms. 🛑

I recently clicked to purchase something through a Facebook link, and when the checkout form opened, the fill-in suggestions showed unfamiliar names connected with my email address and ZIP code.

I do not know those people.

That was enough for me to stop immediately. 🚩

Whether it was a browser issue, payment-profile issue, third-party checkout issue, or something more suspicious, it reminded me of one thing:

Slow down before entering payment information.

Before purchasing through a social media link:

✅ Go directly to the official website or app store
✅ Check your browser autofill settings
✅ Review Safari, Chrome, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, Shop Pay, and Meta Pay
✅ Look for unfamiliar names, emails, ZIP codes, addresses, or cards
✅ Turn on two-factor authentication
✅ Check your bank and credit card activity if anything looks off

This is not about panic. It is about paying attention. 👀

If a checkout page shows names or information you do not recognize, stop the transaction.

Do not assume it is harmless.

Your information, payment details, and identity are worth protecting. 🔐

Starting in 2025, Nielsen formally rolled out a “Big Data + Panel” system that combines traditional panel data with massive device-level data from smart TVs, set-top boxes, and partners. This is a bigger change than most previous tweaks, aiming to better reflect real viewing habits. 

This modern hybrid approach is a response to:
• Fragmented viewership across broadcast, cable, and streaming
• The need to count live streaming and delayed viewing
• A desire to reduce sampling bias

But it also means that numbers post-2025 are not directly equivalent to those from earlier measurement eras.
