Happy first day of Spring!! I have had a countdown on my phone to this day. I am so happy it’s here. I know we will still have cold days but the sun is out longer and the worst of the cold is behind us… well until the end of the year 🤦🏻‍♀️

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! I’ve never really understood this holiday so I wanted to learn a little about Saint Patrick. I found this in a news article about him.

“Before he became a symbol of all things Irish, St. Patrick was a captive turned courageous missionary.
As a boy, Patrick was kidnapped by pirates and enslaved in modern-day Ireland. While tending sheep, he remembered Bible stories from his dad and gave his life to Christ. After escaping back home to Britain, God called him to do what most would consider unthinkable––return to Ireland and share the gospel with the very people who enslaved him.
Through courage and faith, Patrick brought the message of salvation to Ireland despite facing incredible opposition.”

Sometimes God calls us to do hard things but He knows us and He knows what we are capable of doing. He also knows His other children and how we can help them. He sees the bigger picture. So, when life is hard or challenging, turn to God and He will guide you.

I had to take a little break from my own crafting to help my kids make their valentines boxes. I loved making these. The boys came up with their own ideas and we created them….. well we tried but then I just kinda took over and made them. They did help some but I like crafting too much and worked on them a lot when the kids weren’t around 🤷🏻‍♀️

But the kids are pretty happy about them. The covered wagon is for my second grader who just finished that section at school. The tornado is for my fourth grader. My kindergarten (made one at school) and says I should sell valentine boxers!! 😂 He enjoys talking to me about things I make and sell.

Anyway, now that these are done, I’ll be able to get back to my regular crafting. But I really did enjoy making these.

Okay I’m a little late to this party… but happy February everyone!! When did that happen?

Life got a little crazy the end of January and I’m just now catching up. Kids were sick and then I had to play catch up on laundry and such and here we are over a week into a new month!!!

Well, I’m glad it’s here. Only 1 month, 1 week and 3 days til spring!!! Not that I’m counting or anything…. lol
