UNEXPECTED GIFTS ❤️ I was recently asked how it felt to have my artwork on the National Mall in Washington DC. To be honest, it is hard for me to put into words!
I am extremely honored to have been given this opportunity. One of the most unexpected gifts that I have received from this experience has been the calls and texts from old friends.
Friends I have not spoken to in years have sent me the sweetest messages with photos of their babies, cousins, aunts and uncles all in front of my artwork. We have shared life updates, laughs and old stories. I have even smiled over some of my friends and their “polite frustrations” with not being able to get their hands on a MS 250 print. (Fingers crossed for later 😉) This experience has been SO much fun!
I am grateful for the many new connections that I have made through my artwork but I treasure being able to also reconnect with old friends.
THANK YOU to everyone who worked on this exhibit. From United in Song in Jackson to the Mississippi Pavilion in DC…the America250 Mississippi Visit Mississippi committee’s attention to detail was remarkable. Everything from the layout, the lighting, the videography and even the buttons was truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing the story of our great state of Mississippi and celebrating our country’s 250th birthday! 💙 Pat on the back! Job well done! Get some rest! THANKS Y’ALL!
