Stayton Police Department is the Best!

For several years, Stayton’s Historic Downtown District has been the home to the local Farmers Market. This has happened due to the incredible efforts of Kara Porterfield. The market is sponsored by Historic Downtown Stayton and is open Wednesdays from 3-7 pm. It’s always a great place to see people from the community, support local vendors and enjoy local produce, fruit, baked goods, crafts, and more.
Kara has created a place where there are always lots of smiles and friends reuniting on a sunny afternoon. It is about eating fresh and local, but events like this are so important to bring the community together and to provide a venue for connection. Kara can always be seen hustling around getting things set up and touching bases with vendors.
Chief Johns off the Stayton Police was honored to issue a Kindness Citation to Kara for her care for her community and providing a place to gather together. Keep impacting your community one kind act at a time!

Wow! This kid came in today with his mother and I noticed he's wearing a hoodie that looks familiar. I guess we bought a track team shirt. So cool and he said when he got it he was so excited because he loves our shop. That makes my day!
