It's Cuter Than Buttons My name is Ariana Engvig, and have a sincere lifelong love for sewing. Here is a peek of some of my projects, most of them are available on my website.

Sew many things. Ariana began sewing when she was a little girl, and she loves to creating something new from something old! She actually first discovered her passion in Kindergarten when her teacher gave her class a plastic canvas sewing project and she got hooked. She loved sewing so much that her family took notice and got her first sewing machine for her ninth birthday. She graduated from the

Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising for Visual Communications in 2005. She creates everything from her own tailored clothes, customized and band tee projects, elaborate costumes, to wedding accessories for friends and for professionals. The creative process is key to Ariana’s projects and her work is always Cuter Than Buttons!

I ordered 1/4 yard of 100% mulberry silk to make a luxurious 3D mask for myself, but I forgot how much of a pain silk can be. It only took me twice as long to complete. It is so soft- and silk is far superior to cotton for a filter but also much more of a pain to work with, but the end result is asthetically pleasing. 🥰😷

I finally got around to completing this throw for my husband - he loves it! 🥰🤘🏽🎸It is comprised of underground Los Angeles metal bands, including his own . No tees gone to waste! The backside is made from Desecrate’s old show curtain. 🤘🏽🎸
