A few weeks ago, the lovely owner of Railyard Pie Company came to our Design & Dine event, and she made such an impression on me. She’s one of those rare people who is so warm, perceptive, and full of wisdom that you walk away from a conversation feeling a little more seen than you did before.

So when a longtime friend (👋 Jennifer Holasek) and I needed a brunch spot, I knew exactly where I wanted to go. And it did not disappoint! 🤍

The space is beautiful, and the summer tomato quiche was so good! Then, of course, I grabbed pies to take home (coconut cream for Chad, Mae’s chocolate pudding pie for me) and some whoopie pies for the kids… because I am not sharing. 😂

There’s something extra special about getting to support the people who have supported you. Railyard Pie is an absolute gem.

Individual arrangements, designed to grow together. 🌿
One of the installations I enjoyed the most from the floral masterclass.

New photos = new intro?

Hi! I’m Sarah, the flower lady behind Bayer’s Blooms. I was born and raised in Yukon and moved to the Stillwater area a little over a decade ago. My husband and I are both small business owners and one of our greatest joys is supporting other local businesses.

Flowers entered my life in a new way in 2019. A mother-daughter tea party in a flower garden sparked something in me. I read Erin Benzakein - Floret’s The Cut Flower Garden cover to cover, threw a few ranunculus corms in the dirt and never looked back!

Then 2020 arrived.

Working as a nurse during the pandemic while raising small children was a season unlike any other. For the first time in my life, I wrestled with anxiety. Looking back, I truly believe God prepared my path before I even knew I’d need it. Months before the world changed, He had already drawn me to the garden.

Running to the fields to plant, tend the soil, or check for little green sprouts coming up from the ground became a place of refuge. It reminded me that even when everything around me felt uncertain, some things remained constant. The sun still rose, seeds still sprouted, and no one told the flowers or the birds that there was a pandemic to fear.

That season changed me.

Today I’m passionate about growing beautiful flowers while also creating healthy soil and a thriving ecosystem. I love creating spaces for slowing down, building community, and making memories. I shamelessly nerd out over soil biology, beneficial insects, and nature’s interconnectedness because, the way I see it, they all point back to a Creator who has not overlooked a single detail.

So grateful for this flower farm and for the people who choose us.

Whether you’ve been here since the first ranunculus or you just found us yesterday, thanks for being here! It means more than you know. 🤍

If I could just bottle up this night. I’m still running it back and smiling over how beautiful it was. Flowers, great food, new friends, and a chance to slow down for a few hours.

Thank you to everyone who spent the evening with us! You made Design & Dine everything I hoped it would be.

Thanks to my friends:
Bluebird Photography for the incredible photos!
MoMo’s Bake Shoppe for going above & beyond with your on-theme sweet treats.
Social 174 Stilly for bringing the plateful of beauty
And Whitney Steadman Anderson for moving back here from Utah just to be my right hand (wo)man. 😉😘

So grateful for a week away. 🤍

Disney + Cocoa Beach made for a great combination of go, go, go followed by true rest and relaxation.

One part of the trip had every minute planned down to the minute. The other had no agenda at all… just slow mornings, seashell hunting, boogie boarding, and deciding what to do next as we went.

Both were so much fun, just complete opposites.

We’re already missing the beach, and Bo is working out logistics to figure out how he can live there one day. 🌊😂

Feeling refreshed, thankful, and ready to finish the summer strong. 💪
