"Dignity" by Veruschka Zarate won Best in Show at QuiltCon. I saw pictures last night, but only now just found out about the BACK! It reminds me of LegitKits' OMG David (look it up!). If you're ever driving through SD, check out the statue in Chamberlain.

I first made the sleep mask for an upcoming long flight, then realized I needed a glasses case that clips onto my backpack to match. 😍 I used satin scraps from my wedding dress, elastic from my cloth diapering days, and a webbing strap from an old bike helmet. My depression era grandmas would be so proud of me!

This Skydance Bridge group quilt was made by my fellow members and is an original foundation paper pieced design based on the bridge near Scissortail Park in OKC. I offered to piece the large blue section in the upper left 😂 but they asked me to quilt it instead. I incorporated some classic OKC landmarks - the skyline with Devon Tower, the lighthouse at Lake Hefner, Wheeler Ferris Wheel, and a full moon with Tycho Crater (look it up). This quilt is planned as our raffle quilt at our quilt show likely Oct 2025. It will hang at in Phoenix in Feb as part of the Community Outreach quilts from guild across the globe (all using the same fabric colors).
