Last year, I had the honor of styling actress Karen Obilom’s hair for Doing Life with Tyler Perry Studios. Now, it’s #1 on Netflix! 🎬👑

What makes this milestone even more special is how it came to be.

Shornell McNeil, a longtime family friend I’ve known since childhood, heard Karen wanted crochet braids and immediately thought of me. 🥹❤️

A connection that began when we were little girls came full circle into an opportunity with Tyler Perry Studios and I’m deeply grateful.

This moment reminds me that your relationships, your work, and the gift you carry can open doors you never imagined.

Kima Ocean Wave in P4/27 on my beautiful client. 💁🏽‍♀️✨

For this install, we used a different braid pattern designed to minimize unnecessary tension around her edges while giving her the versatility she wanted.

Her goal is healthy hair growth with zero leave out. She normally wears sew-ins, but over time her leave out and edges became thin and damaged from the constant exposure.

This seamless crochet installation gives her the full, natural look she loves while allowing her hair to rest, recover, and thrive underneath. Healthy hair is always the goal. 🤎
