Hi there! We’re Josh and Allie Kokemiller, a husband-and-wife team of full-time vintage and antique sellers living on a hobby farm in the heart of Central Iowa.

✨When we’re not chasing down treasures from the past, we’re busy raising our four kids and enjoying life outdoors. Whether we’re riding horses, fishing, exploring local trails, or working around the farm, we love making memories together as a family.

✨We sell vintage and antique treasures through weekly online auctions on Whatnot, where every item starts at just $1. We also have two local spaces where you can shop with us in person: Antiques Iowa and The Silver Chandelier in downtown Story City.

✨We believe every vintage piece has a story, and we love helping those treasures find new homes. Whether you’re a collector, decorator, reseller, or simply someone who appreciates a bit of nostalgia, we’d love to have you follow along.

✨And if you have antiques, vintage items, or collections you’re looking to sell, we’re always on the hunt for great pieces from the past!

It might sound simple, but the truth is—every shop owner is sourcing their items from somewhere. Don’t be afraid to ask! Ask them where they like to shop, and if they know of other spots in town that carry similar items.

On the flip side, if you ARE the shop owner—be thoughtful and honest with your answer. If you tell someone there are no other shops in town, when there are in fact two other antique stores, you’re not gaining a customer—you’re losing one.

From a shopper’s perspective, I’m far more likely to return to a town where I can make multiple stops than one with just a single destination. Communities that support and promote each other create a better experience for everyone.

Networking and collaborating with other local shop owners doesn’t take away from your business—it strengthens it.
