Where the mountains touched mist, women gathered under moonlight with flowers pressed to skin and ink burned into memory.
Every bloom carried a warning. Petals guarded what remained soft. Thorns held the boundary. Four points faced the edges of the earth so the wearer would never lose her way.
The rose survives.
The thorn remembers.
The four directions refuse to kneel.
