I sent a spectacular trunk show to Sister-Arts Studio for the Chicago Yarn Crawl (happening now), and took the opportunity to work up a new sample. The Soldotna Crop by Caitlin Hunter is a pattern I knit before and really enjoyed. This time I picked different colors of course and used a mix of my DK and Sparkle DK (the neon coral). I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I sent these and a bunch of other tonal colors of DK so you can put your own kit together.

I’ve been working on a new sample of an old pattern, and now that it’s almost done, I’m ready to share. This is my new Soldotna Crop by Caitlin Hunter. I made one probably 7 years ago and loved it so much, but a friend did too and so it was rehoused. I knew back then that I’d be making another. The colorwork is addicting and since it’s DK weight, it just flies! I made this one a little longer than the pattern calls for but it’s still cropped. I used Sparkle DK for the neon (Electric Watermelon), and regular DK for the other 3 colors which are Nightfall, Jazzberry, and Oyster. I’m pretty happy with it, what do you think? Have you made one? Making some progress on my second Queens Cami by . Using my new color Tutti Fruitti on Favorite sock, held together with a sequin thread that has the tiniest pink flower sequins.
