I know I’m behind here, but I spent nearly all day yesterday finishing clue 1 and I’m so happy to have all the stitches on my needle this morning after my commute. Getting ready to start the brioche section on my way home from work.

I honestly didn’t purchase these two yarns to go together, but when I saw them together, I knew it was meant to be. AND I already had the perfect pattern waiting in my library. So serendipitous! I’m using Yellow Tang in Journey Sport by Julie Asselin |Hand Dyed Yarns with Vermont Vice from Junction Fiber Mill to make Starry Night by Alicia Plummer. I’m excited to see this work up as the colors change.

Yes, even yarn dyers like to use yarn from other wonderful makers! This is my Cakepalooza/Rhinebeck 2026 haul project. 💛 💜

I sent a spectacular trunk show to Sister-Arts Studio for the Chicago Yarn Crawl (happening now), and took the opportunity to work up a new sample. The Soldotna Crop by Caitlin Hunter is a pattern I knit before and really enjoyed. This time I picked different colors of course and used a mix of my DK and Sparkle DK (the neon coral). I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I sent these and a bunch of other tonal colors of DK so you can put your own kit together.
