Thank you to all the people who have stopped by or mailed donations of fabric and craft supplies recently. Some of the materials were exactly what was needed for projects we are making for our holiday sale in Florida, some can be used in Haiti, and the benefit shop was happy to receive the rest.

Today we handed in our challenge quilts for Gone to Pieces. This is my entry. The challenge was to use the turquoise fabric. I call this The Crossing because it reminds me of waves in the Bahamas. In other news, both of the quilts I entered in the Martin County Fair won ribbons.

Just finished this One Block Wonder quilt top from the Lightkeeper’s Quilt panel for Quiltish of Cape Cod. A couple of my Florida friends have asked me to teach them the technique. Message me if you are interested. I had done a OBW from this panel previously before it had the diamond and triangle borders, but I was thrilled to see the florets I could make from identical blocks from the border.

So excited for this fabric line to come out in February. I pieced this top as a sample for Quilt-ish of Cape Cod. The fabric for the wide hexagon border was inspired by a one block wonder that I made for Quilt-ish using the panels. I just love the bright colors.

My most devoted client took delivery of her fourth and fifth quilts from me this week. Over the three years I have made quilts for her, she has only wanted me to use beige fabrics. Since there is not enough contrast in the fabrics she chose for a piecing design to show up, I just went with large granny squares and a piano key middle border. She loved them.
