Rebel Threads is having a PURGE SALE ... and we want your weird stuff.

Seriously. If you've got Halloween costumes collecting dust, costume jewelry you haven't touched in years, vintage pieces that don't quite fit your vibe anymore, or anything delightfully strange and unclaimed ... bring it to us.

We're taking donations now through next Thursday. Drop off at 1401 Tower Ave, Superior, or send us a DM.

Everything donated gets a second life in the sale or the studio.

Clean out your closet. Stock our shelves. Get 10% off at the sale. Win-win.

Hi friends,

I wanted to send a little Rebel Threads update to the people who have been cheering this thing on from the beginning.

First of all, thank you. Truly. Whether you have helped me carry racks, hype up a post, take a class, send people my way, listen to me spiral, or simply believe in this before it fully made sense, you have helped build Rebel Threads.

Things are moving in really exciting ways right now. We’ve launched pattern rentals, classes are growing, I’ve been making new community connections, and there are some really promising conversations happening around sustainable fashion, costume rentals, sewing education, and creative reuse. I’m also in the ILT Advanced business cohort this summer, which is helping me sharpen the bigger vision for Rebel Threads as a regional textile, costume, and creative reuse hub.

And also... I’m tired. This business is growing, but it is still very much in that scrappy startup phase where the work, the expenses, and the opportunities are all showing up at the same time and I'm doing a majority of the work by myself, although that is slowly changing!

So I’m reaching out to the people who know me and know this work because I could use some help.

Right now, the biggest ways to support Rebel Threads are:

Helping me prep for the purge sale at the end of the month.

Sharing Rebel Threads with anyone who needs alterations, costume rentals, sewing lessons, creative reuse programming, or a weirdly specific costume thing I probably have in the basement.

Signing up for a class or sending someone my way who wants to learn how to sew.

Spreading the word about the upcoming purge sale at the end of June.

Connecting me with schools, theaters, community groups, artists, grant opportunities, sponsors, or anyone who might be a good Rebel Threads partner.

And honestly... sometimes just reminding me that this is real and worth building.

I’m so proud of what Rebel Threads is becoming. It is a costume shop, sewing classroom, alterations studio, upcycling hub, and community space, but it is also something bigger than that. It is a place where people can learn practical skills, use what already exists, feel creative again, and participate in fashion in a way that is more sustainable, expressive, and human.

Thank you for being part of this from the beginning. I wouldn’t be here without you.

With so much love and gratitude,

Sasha

This is Ali and we are new best buddies! Ali was given the challenge of seeking a community member mentor to complete an eighth grade showcase project that she got to choose... and she chose making a dress and luckily she chose me as her mentor! It was random and also divine intervention!

I of course raced over to see her at her showcase and made it just in time to give her a hug and meet the whole fam, she even made me this super cool Rebel Threads themed bracelet 😭🥰

I couldn't be more proud of her for picking a really bold first project and totally killing it! Seriously, incredibly impressed with how much she soaked up in 3 sessions! Posted with permission from her and her parents! Thanks so much for trusting me throughout this process!

This is the community finding me and me being in community with youth so I can help inspire and teach young artists, it's what it's literally all about! 🤘🖤🤘
