Today, we caught a woman attempting to walk out of the store with two tops in her bag. I was watching on camera, and the second she realized we knew what was happening, she dumped everything out of her bag into our denim wall and walked out.

We called the police. While they were here, she actually called the store to try and excuse her behavior. 🤨
Small businesses are exhausted. Employees are exhausted. Everyone is hot, everyone is busy, and August brings out a level of rudeness and entitlement that can be really discouraging.

We work incredibly hard to be here, to keep our doors open, to bring you fun things, and to make your experience a good one. We don’t expect perfection from anyone — just a little kindness and respect.

And honestly, I think the bigger reminder here is this:

Be nice. Be respectful. Have some grace.

And please… don’t steal. 👀 We have cameras.

To everyone who has been kind to us this summer: we see you, we appreciate you, and you make all of this worth it. ❤️

The August Uglies may be loud but the good ones are still louder.
