Lake&Lure History Time 🚨

Kyle again - after our summer trip in 2022 Duff and I headed back home to figure out what comes next. Duff loved the name Lake Lure, so did I, so we started brainstorming some different ideas. Check out the photo below to see one of our earliest concepts.

When we decided on Lake Lure we took all of our information to our trademark attorney. Turns out, there’s an amazing town in North Carolina…named Lake Lure. We couldn’t trademark the name of a town! After working with our team we decided Lake&Lure sounded great and we could trademark it. The rest is history!

We hope you guys are enjoying these little time capsules! We’ll keep them coming so long as you all are happy. Until then, tight lines and get outside 🤙🏼

Lake&Lure History Time:

Kyle here. Duff and I always found time to fish together no matter where life took us. The military moved me around the world but he and I always made a fishing trip happen somehow, someway.

In the summer of 2022 we were both at a crossroads. Duff’s 20+ year career was changing and my startup career was ending. For my birthday we took a trip to Lake Okeechobee. Here’s a picture of our fishing cabin and the first gator we saw! The first night he showed me an idea he had for a company called Lake Lure (no & symbol.)

We talked it over, decided we wanted to launch a responsible, soft and premium outdoor focused brand. We figured we’d go home, beg our wives to believe in us, and find mentors we could trust. The rest of the trip we fished a bunch, saw baby alligators and enjoyed some amazing days together.

It’ll never be lost on me that Lake&Lure was born because Duff and I continued to do what we loved, together.

Thank you for all of the love and support over the years. We’re nowhere near finished and hope we see you at Lake&Lure Country Store soon!
