What happens when the girlies are a little too voluptuous for your gown? We design a new neckline that's what we do! This beautiful bride needed a little more coverage for her girlies and luckily she had ordered some swag sleeves that she decided she didn't want to wear, so we were able to use that fabric to create her new cat eye neckline. Photos were taken at first and second fitting where I had the new neckline created so that we could decide final placement. Total alterations: bodice sides, custom neckline, hem, and bustle.

This beautiful bride added custom illusion sleeves to her gown. What a pleasure to work with her and to be able to help her get dressed on her way to Elope 253 in Tacoma! Photos taken at final fit check before the big day. Total alterations: Bodice take in, hem, custom embellished sleeves with build up, and 5 point under bustle.

Beautiful Bridesmaid! For this bridesmaid she wanted to convert the zipper back to a corset back and wanted her sleeves lined. Luckily she had ordered two dresses so I had plenty of extra matching fabric to make that happen for her! Photo one and two are her first fitting and the third and fourth photo are her finished results.

Total alterations: Sleeve moved from off shoulder to on shoulder, sleeves lined, bust seams reshaped, custom made corset back and tie, hem.

Happy Spring! Here is a fun project that I did last spring. This lovely bride was in love with the idea of a halter neck, but couldn't find exactly what she wanted, so we created it together! She loved the drama of a long vail but didn't want to have anything additional on her head. So as part of the halter neck I created long dramatic tails on the bow that would cover her clasp on the back of the halter neck. Additionally for ease of movement after the ceremony I made a shorter version that she could wear while it was bustled. Total alterations: bodice shaping, hem, bustle, custom neckline front and back, two custom bows.

Wedding Wednesday! Thank you so much to this gorgeous bride for letting me post her photos and for sharing her professional photos from their wedding in downtown Tacoma. When she first came into alterations with her dress we knew that there was a lot of work to do. The dress in general was too big for her and the sleeves needed a lot of work, with her patience we had 4 different fitting to make sure that every curve was right where it needed to be! After recutting the sleeve cap 3 different times we both couldn't have been more excited for the final results! Such a classic look! Alterations done: bodice take in, sleeve recut, hem, and a stacked french bustle.

Small Changes Sunday! Sometimes it's the smallest changes that make all the difference. This bridesmaid had a much shorter torso than the standard size of the dress. To fix this I shortened her bodice in the back and took in her sides at an angle to change it from a low back to even all the way around.

Transformation Tuesday! This project may not seem like a transformation at first, but this lovely bride wanted to lower her illusion back to the new area shown by the pinned outline. After taking in the sides of the dress to fit her body I was able to make the custom changes that really made this dress one of a kind! Along with lowering the back, I also made custom sleeves that could be removed for the reception off of her spaghetti straps, minimized her cowl drape in the back, hem and bustle for her gorgeous long train. Bride is wearing her finished dress ready to be packed up for the wedding!

Custom vinyl work for some wedding party people! Bride requested silver sparkle vinyl on two petal patrol shirts for their flower boys, ring security shirt for her brother-in-law, and a best person sash for her sister-in-law who is their best man for the wedding.
