It’s official! Thank you everyone for an awesome last five years. Byrt and Gerty’s has been such a staple in our lives as I’m sure it has been in some of yours. We’re going to keep our social media open for a while so we can use all this time off to highlight some amazing wonderful small businesses in Tacoma.

It’s almost time… Tues-Sat 11-4
This is the last week we will be open. If we sell out before Saturday 9/20, we will officially close the shop, we’ll let you know though! Items NOT for sale. ❌IKEA Shelves ❌Glider ❌The 2 3x3 cubbies in the back. But ⭐️the empty cardboard boxes are FREE! Please don’t message us about availability of items, we most likely won’t respond as it will be a busy week. Just stop in Tuesday or Wednesday 11-4 (sooner the better!)

Okay I said I wasn’t gonna do a sale and I’m not, but I kinda am. For this week only, if you have a receipt from another LOCAL, SMALL business from the month of September, so the last 9 days, You will get 50% off your purchase at Byrt and Gertys. I have no cares what business it is as long as it is small, local and purchased from in the month of September. I don’t care what you bought, how much you spent, if it was your first time there none of it just small, local, and in the month of September. I don’t know if I have explained it enough so

Just a refresh because we’ve only posted about some of the fixtures going on sale in the stories. The back shelves are now full of baskets and hangers and other odds and ends that are now available for sale.

Get ready for me to be insufferable for the next month. I’m gonna be making a posts like this all the time. Just because Byrt and Gertys is going the way of the Dodo does NOT mean all the other small local business in Tacoma need to. I’m gonna use what little time I have left with the platform I have to shout out other stores, restaurants, coffee shops. The people still working on making their dreams come true.

These are other business that either I have been in and Personally LOVE their stores or they’re engaged with other small business, they’re not gate keeping, they are community. So go check them out. Love your small business or they too will close. And don’t be shy to tag other business in the comments. I’m gonna have a lot more free time and I like using that time to show up and support others.

Hey guys. It’s the end. This should answer most questions I figured people would be asking.

1) we will be closed September 20th or when we sell out of all our inventory what ever comes first.

2) store credit is not cash and can not be cashed out. Come to the store and use it up. Give it to a friend so they can use it but by the 20th (or sooner) it will not exist anymore

3)We will not be doing a closing sale. Like said use up your credit.

4) We won’t be taking trades but there a lot of other awesome resales in the area that would love to see you. We’ll be leaving our website up for a while so you all have access to our list of other resales in the area.

5) fixtures will be for sale starting in September. Fixtures can not be purchased with store credit. Anything for sale will have a tag on it or if you see something just ask.

Thank you guys for keeping us going for as long as we did, but the time has come. Byrt and Gertys has served its purpose and we made great friends along the way!
