THE STOREFRONT IS CLOSED FOREVER IN RAILROAD SQUARE DUE TO MANAGEMENT NOT FIXING THE TORNADO DAMAGE TO MY BUILDING. Cosmic Cat Comics was closed due to the May 10th tornadoes which hit Railroad Square, tearing off the upper half of our outside wall and a bay door. Even though the store's inventory was not damaged, the store walls and ceiling were soaked with water, as well as the back warehouse, g

allery and studio. Luckily the roof stayed on preventing ongoing water damage. Not knowing if the building might be condemned due to damage, we quickly removed the inventory to a safe climate controlled warehouse. I do not plan on reopening the store as it was, since there are no plans to repair the building by the owners at this time. Taking all this in consideration and my desire to retire from the business full time...
~ I will consider offers to sell the store inventory as one lot.
~ I will consider possible partnerships with others to open a new store supplying instant store inventory.
~ I will consider other parties selling the inventory online, conventions, pop up stores.
~ I will consider other ideas that someone may have. All this does not take into consideration the thousands of gold, bronze, silver age and modern back issue comics in storage. The plan at this time is to sell them over the next four years, starting with the most current issues. MailMeMyComics, the Cat's online presence will be handling these sales. As of January 1, 2025 we are no longer associated with Railroad Square and have moved out.
