Maya Angelou famously said, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
So today when of and his lovely wife Eileen walked in the door at , I felt a wave of joy remembering how he made me feel when I competed at the Atlantic Coast Pro NPC Bodybuilding Show in November 2024. Because,as a first time competitor and a true novice to the sport at 51, I was nervous and definitely felt a bit of imposter syndrome when I saw all the other female athletes who were also there to compete. Most were much younger than me, many had way more experience, and all were gorgeous and ripped! It was humbling to be sure! But Tim welcomed me (and everyone present) with the most heartfelt backstage speech…and although I’ll never be able to remember exactly what he said, I do recall the way he spoke to us…with real warmth, positivity, and encouragement…and I know how he made me feel…like a winner…before we even took the stage! Thank you, thank you for adding such a meaningful moment to an amazing weekend! (And for
letting me geek out a little when you walked in today!)
