It’s my final Brunch & Sew before I begin a brand-new chapter in New York, and I couldn’t imagine leaving without creating one last beautiful memory with the community that has supported me every step of the way.

Here’s a more poetic, heartfelt version that captures the feeling of those moments in class:

There is something beautiful about watching confidence begin with a pair of scissors.

Some of you walk into class afraid to make the first cut.
Some of you hold the fabric like it’s going to judge you.
Some of you laugh and say, “I can’t even cut straight.”

And every single time, I smile.

Because that’s where we begin.

One cut.
One pin.
One pattern.
One lesson at a time.

Then, before class is over, I hear the words I love most…

“I can do this.”

“I can cut.”

“I can pin.”

“I can read a pattern.”

“I can make my own clothes.”

Those words will never get old to me.

It was never just about teaching you how to sew.
It was about showing you that confidence can be learned, one stitch at a time.

My greatest joy isn’t the finished garment.

It’s watching you realize that your hands are capable of creating whatever your heart imagines. 🤍✂️

In the age of AI…

I still hand sew.

Not because I have to.
Because I never want to lose the art of creating with my own hands.

AI helps me build businesses, create systems, and move faster.
But sewing reminds me to slow down, be present, and create something that no algorithm can replicate.

For me, it’s never been AI or creativity.
It’s both.

The future belongs to people who know how to use technology without losing their craftsmanship.
