Fractured Collarbone
Ed is already an exceptional golfer.
He's nearly a scratch golfer, hits the ball a long way, and has done the work to stay healthy enough to keep playing at a high level.
Now we're chasing something different.
Not 20%.
Not 10%.
We're looking for the next 1%.
That's where the details matter.
Years ago, while serving in the military, Ed fractured his right clavicle. The bone healed, but you can still feel the difference today. Compared to the left side, the clavicle is shorter, thicker, and structurally different.
We can't change that.
But we can understand how his muscle system has adapted around it.
As we tested his shoulder, something interesting happened.
When I anchored one shoulder, his right shoulder suddenly lost quality force.
Without the anchor, everything looked normal.
So was the right shoulder really the problem?
Not exactly.
After testing further, we found the issue wasn't where we first expected. The opposite shoulder was changing the way the entire system responded.
At the same time, Ed still couldn't fully sense or recruit his right pec, likely because of years of adapting around that old clavicle injury.
That's why we keep testing.
One finding leads to the next.
The goal isn't to change the bone.
It's to improve how the muscle system functions around it.
This is how detailed sessions become with a Certified Muscle System Specialist.
We don't stop at the first answer.
We keep investigating until we understand how the entire system works together, helping athletes continue to perform, stay healthy, and find that next 1%.
